The Belair National Park Adventure Loop Trail on RidewithGPS.

The Belair National Park, Adventure Loop trail is a fully signposted 12km trail route for mountain biking and is designed to be ridden in the clockwise direction. The trail was made available for mountain bikes in May 2013. It is a fun cross country loop of intermediate level that generally climbs on dirt roads and descends on single track with a few short bitumen road sections. Brown Hill Ck to Belair NP and back Brown Hill Ck to Belair NP and back on RidewithGPS.

This 27km route is not specifically signposted as it uses sections of tracks and trails within Brown Hill Ck Res, Pony Ridge, Belair National Park including most of the Belair National Park Adventure Loop MTB trail. It’s an intermediate level route with a few advanced level sections along the way. A GPX or Garmin compatible GPS file is available from Ride with GPS.

The route starts from a small car park just past the entrance to Brown Hill Creek Res. From the car park the route follows a shared use dirt path next to the road to the end of Brown Hill Creek Rd then climbs up the 25 switch backs of the Pony Ridge trail. From Pony Ridge Rd it cross the road and then the railway line to enter Belair National Park. It follows a vehicle track for a while then picks up the start of the Adventure Loop trail which climbs to the back blocks of Belair National Park followed by a neat descent back down. The Adventure Loop trail is designed to be ridden in a clockwise direction. After the descent the route parts from the Adventure Loop trail to follow some other tracks and trails within Belair National Park leading back to Pony Ridge Rd. Then it’s a neat descent back down the switch backs of Pony Ridge and along the shared use path of Brown Hill Creek Res to the car park.

Eagle MTB Park, 11km Intermediate Cross Country Loop on RidewithGPS.

Prospect Hill 7km Loop on RidewithGPS.

The Prospect Hill 7km loop is a good starter loop to get a knowledge of the Prospect Hill MTB trails. It’s an intermediate level cross country single track loop through a Forestry SA Pine Plantation in Kuitpo forest. Fox Creek – Core Loop, 10kms on RidewithGPS.

Fox Creek – Classic XC Loop, 13kms on RidewithGPS.

A classic loop of the XC trails, the route undulates along the trails without taking in the big descents and climbs of the eastern area of Fox Creek. Fox Creek – All Mountain Loop, 12kms on RidewithGPS.

This is a more advanced MTB route using the F.A.M.E trail which stands for “Fox creek All Mountain Experience” and then climbing back up via the Middle Earth trail then other trails back to the start.
